Allah SWT mentioned in the Quran, Surah an-Nuur (24:40):

Atau (orang-orang kafir itu keadaannya) adalah umpama keadaan (orang yang di dalam) gelap-gelita di lautan yang dalam, yang diliputi oleh ombak bertindih ombak; di sebelah atasnya pula awan tebal (demikianlah keadaannya) gelap-gelita berlapis-lapis - apabila orang itu mengeluarkan tangannya, ia tidak dapat melihatnya sama sekali. Dan (ingatlah) sesiapa yang tidak dijadikan Allah menurut undang-undang peraturanNya mendapat cahaya (hidayah petunjuk) maka ia tidak akan beroleh sebarang cahaya (yang akan memandunya ke jalan yang benar).

Or (the Unbelievers' state) is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by (dark) clouds: depths of darkness, one above another: if a man stretches out his hands, he can hardly see it! for any to whom Allah giveth not light, there is no light!

Poor Dying Cat

I am still disturbed and terrified with the images of a dying cat which I met just now at the ground floor of my college. The right ear was cut off and I saw white maggots all over the flesh. I saw a few drops of thick blood on the floor where the cat was sitting. The poor cat just sat there beside the rubbish bin, without making any noise. perhaps it's about time for him to die. I was so devastated, I am so weak I can't even help the poor cat to survive. Without knowing my tears rolled down my cheeks when I reach my room at the 5th floor. The suffering and pain the cat has to endure, perhaps for him is just temporary, and that is why he sat there quietly, looking down at the floor. The cat is willingly enduring the temporary pain while lowering the head down, perhaps doing zhikr and tasbih to Allah S.W.T. Fellow human, the pain and suffering in this world is just temporary. Learn from the poor cat, never once the cat rebels nor lose hope. Just a few days ago I saw him walking happily searching for food, even with infections all over the ear. The pain and suffering are about to end for him. How about us? Our fate on the day our mouth shall be sealed, and the hands will speak to God, the feet will testify about us.

Langit yang tujuh dan bumi serta sekalian makhluk yang ada padanya, sentiasa mengucap tasbih bagi Allah; dan tiada sesuatupun melainkan bertasbih dengan memujiNya; akan tetapi kamu tidak faham akan tasbih mereka. Sesungguhnya Ia adalah Maha Penyabar, lagi Maha Pengampun.

"Dan tidaklah sama gelap-gelita dengan cahaya yang terang-benderang" (Faatir 35:20)

"Nur is darkness (tantamount to) light" (Faatir 35:20)

So can you 'see' the depths of darkness and the light? How it defy and define the darkness?

Today's topic, many of the terms are on the studies on the sky and the galaxy (which is my most favourite topic in the Quran). I will share mostly on the scientific part first since most of the terms are not really laymen. 

Dust in the Galactic Environment

The clouds of dust in the sky they cast the shadow from the back of the stars as the stars trying to shine their light through. From the earth, this dust looks like clouds that block the sun rays. These dust, strange enough, sometimes it glows. These bright glowing clouds are called nebula. Each one of the nebulae is unique and breathtakingly beautiful.

Ayat 1-3

"Sesungguhnya Kami telah membuka bagi perjuanganmu (wahai Muhammad) satu jalan kemenangan yang jelas nyata." (48:1)

"Kemenangan yang dengan sebabnya Allah mengampunkan salah dan silapmu yang telah lalu dan yang terkemudian, dan menyempurnakan nikmatNya kepadamu, serta menambahkanmu hidayah ke jalan yang lurus (dalam mengembangkan Islam dan melaksanakan hukum-hukumnya)." (48:2)

"Dan dengan sebabnya Allah memberikanmu pertolongan (untuk mencapai kejayaan) dengan sepunuh-penuh dan sehandal-handal pertolongan (yang tidak ada bandingannya)." (48:3)

Rantai Besi 70 Hasta dan Spiral Arms di Galaksi

Perkataan 'spiral' atau lingkaran di sebut didalam AQ pada beberapa tempat. Dan salah satu daripadanya pada surah al-Haaqqah ayat 32.

"Selain dari itu, masukkanlah dia dalam (lingkaran) rantai besi yang ukuran panjangnya tujuh puluh hasta, (dengan membelitkannya ke badannya! (Al-Haaqqah 69:32)

Perkataan lingkaran dan belitan sangat sinonim dengan kejadian dan kematian bintang di langit. Tapi kenapa 70 hasta? Lingkaran rantai besi? Hasta dalam english ialah arm's length. Adakah ianya kebetulan jika para saintis menamakan spiral2 yang terdapat di setiap galaksi sebagai spiral arm?  Bagaimana pula dengan kejadian besi (Iron, Fe) yang sememangnya terhasil apabila sesebuah bintang itu mati. Ada kaitan dengan lingkaran rantai besi? Dimana disetiap spiral arms itu terletaknya bintang, debu, helium, hydrogen dan elemen2 yang lebih berat yang salah satunya ialah besi (Iron, Fe). Maka jika dibayangkan, lingkaran rantai besi itu sebenarnya mungkin spiral arms, yang apabila sesuatu bintang itu mati akibat ditarik oleh daya graviti 'blackhole', ia berbentuk spiral (seperti belitan) dan akan masuk ke dalam blackhole.
